It is necessary for A wheel of a simple machine to be in circular shape. As we know that there are three types of frictional forces i.e.,Static friction sliding friction and rolling friction. Among these three types of friction forces rolling friction is least. Static friction is maximum and sliding friction is in between static and rolling friction.
